With 2,359 seats, the London Coliseum is the largest theatre in London’s West End.

Each year, the theatre hosts a diverse array of shows, musicals, operas, ballets, podcast recordings and other live shows including Apple TV+’s Hannah Waddingham Home for Christmas ; English National Ballet’s Nutcracker ; Dolly Alderton’s Dear Dolly: Live at the London Coliseum; Hero Entertainment’s The Mongol Khan (2023); English National Opera’s La traviata and It’s a Wonderful Life and Queen and Ben Elton’s We Will Rock You 

Conveniently positioned in Theatreland, the theatre is near both Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square and benefits from the proximity of a number of tube stations and Charing Cross national rail station.

With the widest stage in London, it is a perfect venue for dance and performing arts companies. The glorious Edwardian architecture and interiors were magnificently restored in 2004, providing a beautiful auditorium and wonderful entertaining spaces throughout the building.

As part of the hire fee, we can provide use of auditorium and dressing rooms throughout the day, box office ticketing and promotion of your event on the London Coliseum website.

Room hire

The theatre also offers a range of spaces perfect for daytime hire, as part of a performance package, and on non-performance evenings for your special event.

Our dedicated events team will help you make your vision a reality.

Your dedicated Events Manager is with you from your site visit, is on hand at the event itself, and works with you on all post-event activities. All of this means you have more time to enjoy the event, and less time worrying about logistics.

We even offer complimentary bespoke event booking webpages, meaning you spend less time chasing guest lists or payments, and more time enjoying your event.

We offer spaces from 2 to 400 people.

From the spacious Sky Bar bathed in natural light, and the grand Royal Retiring Room, to the atmospheric Trafalgar Room, we have a space to suit every event.
