Where do I collect my tickets?

If you selected an e-ticket you can print these at home or save it to your phone – they will be attached to your confirmation email and so you can go directly to your seats when you get here.

If you have your confirmation email on your phone you can just open the e-ticket attachment and show that to our staff.

If you’ve chosen to collect your tickets, you’ll need to go to our box office in the theatre foyer.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving as early as possible so that you have plenty of time to collect your tickets, buy a programme, and find your seat.

If you’d like a drink or a bite to eat when you get here, you’ll find one of our bars open from an hour and a half before the show. You’ll be able to take your seat in the theatre auditorium from 25 minutes before the performance begins.

As allowing latecomers into the auditorium once an opera performance has started disturbs other audience members, those who arrive to a performance late will be asked to view the show on a TV monitor until we can seat you at a suitable point.

This is in the interests of the majority of of the audience and we ask for your understanding.

Bag checks

Unfortunately, in the current climate, there are security checks at the entrance to the theatre, so please ensure you arrive in good time before the performance.

Please note we don’t allow any food or drink purchased from outside the theatre to be brought into the building apart from sealed bottled water. If you have a large bag of shopping with you we’ll ask that you check it into our free cloakroom.

If the bottle of water is opened or partially full, we may ask you to empty it or drink it outside. This is to prevent people bringing in alcohol which has, unfortunately been an issue previously, breaks the terms of our license and can cause disruption to others.

You can refill your bottle from any of the free water dispensers at the theatre bars.

What do I do if I have dietary requirements?

If you have a medical, dietary or access requirement that means you have to bring food or drink into the theatre, we will of course enable you to do this.

If you are able to contact us in advance of your visit that would be fantastic, but if not then please just let our security team know when you arrive so that they and our friendly team of House Managers can ensure that you are able to take in anything that you require.

It’s really important to us that people with dietary, medical or access requirements can relax and have a wonderful night.
